About the Event
‘TRIDENT’- a Greek-themed inter-college fest organized by the Speakers’ Forum in association with Eco Care Club and Rotaract Club of SVCE. The fest was structured with the aim of creating a synergy of the youth’s imagination and talent quotient. Debate, Voice Out, Pitch Perfect, Mock Interview, and Jam with a Twist are the events conducted by the Speakers’ Forum on the following dates [ 3rd March, 2022 & 4th March, 2022 ].

Themis - Debate
In Themis, the debate event in Trident, students were given topics before each round and asked to present cases, participate in a question time, and engage in rebuttal and refutation. Contenders were judged based on convincing arguments, fluency, and the logic put forth.

Coeus - Quiz
Quiz is an event that required students to be equipped with knowledge about current affairs and be well informed. It was a team event in which points were given and deducted according to the answer given. The participants had to answer within a time limit of 30 seconds.

Hedylogos - Mock Interview
Mock interview was a simulation of an actual interview and was used mainly for training purposes. It helped interviewees think ahead about how they can present themselves to an interviewer. Criticism was given based on their performance, this gave the participant a chance to gain confidence and handle questions in a way where they could show the best version of themselves.

Hermes - Voice Out
Participants were allotted different topics on which they had to present their speech within a given time duration of 3 minutes. They were judged on the basis of their fluency, vocabulary, and essence of the speech. This event was also intended to curb them from memorizing content and evolve their spontaneity and define their speaking style.

Peitho - Pitch Perfect
Pitch Perfect was aimed to season the advertising knacks of the participant. The product based on which the pitch had to be prepared was given on the spot. The contestant had to strategize a marketing tactic to appeal to the judges to purchase the item presented. Their creativity along with their originality was evaluated to judge their performance.
