The Krishnamurti Foundation India which is situated in Chennai and made available by the Theosophical Society was started in the year 1973 and is based on the views on education and philosophy of J. Krishnamurti. The school has about 350 students and
35 teachers.
The school's principal goal is to encourage and support students by fostering an environment that develops their creative and aesthetic qualities and removes the pressure to perform or represent the school in competitive
arenas. Essentially, pupils are forced to engage in the activity and to meet the demands of the assignment to the best of their abilities. Students learn to question their likes and dislikes as well as conceptions of predisposition
and inclination as a result of this, and they are encouraged to do their best in all jobs that come their way.
Members of the SVCE Speakers Forum paid a brief visit to this school, which instils several traits through astoundingly unusual approaches. This was a memorable visit that provided an eye-opening experience. The very ambience
of the school flooding with indispensable traits made it very clear that Learning begins with our senses and the ability to experience the world around us.
